Friendships transitioning from summer to fall

The end of summer always makes me reflect on the memories made.
Should we have done more?
Did we do too much?
Did they connect enough with friends?
What about my friends?
The mom guilt likes to sneak in and tell me that I fell short, but I am slowly learning that every summer is different. The older my kids get, the more directions we are pulled in, and that means I have less time for some of my own friends. I don't respond as often and don't have the capacity to reach out the way I want to.
So, this verse showing up in my quiet time today was a cool reminder that summer is a time to extend some grace to myself and my friends. We're all busy and do our best to check in between the activities.
Fall is coming, friends!🍂
With the kids back in school, routines fall into place again, and space opens up for us, too. This season feels like an invitation to lean back into friendship. Coffee dates, slower conversations, and showing up for one another in simple, but meaningful ways.
Summer might scatter us, but fall is our time to shine together.
